Dr. De Young can present illustrated lectures that follow
any of the walks in London Theatre Walks.
He can also address a spectrum of topics that cover issues
that move across or between some of the walks. For instance
he can speak on subjects like “The New Globe and the
Legacy of Sam Wanamaker”, “The Archaeology of
the Rose Theatre”, “Exploring the Site of Shakespeare’s
Original Globe, and “Shakespeare Sites Around London”,
His travels have taken him to Greece, Turkey, and Egypt and
he has illustrated talks available on “The Evolution
of the Greek Theatre”, “Proto-Theatrical Spaces
in Ancient Egypt”, “The Classical Theatres of
Ancient Turkey”, and “Roman Theatres from England
to Alexandria”
Any of these talks can be adapted to a variety of audience
interest or experience levels.
For the more general travel audience, he can also provide
illustrated travel talks on Great Britain or Scotland, Scandinavia,
Spain, the Canadian Rockies, America’s Southwest, and
Hawaii.
